As beer enthusiasts, you know we are always looking for unique and flavorful new recipes to brew! We recently had the pleasure of brewing a SMaSH beer, which does not disappoint. Our version of SMaSH beer is called 101 Stitch. In this case, 101 is a playful pun on the single malt, single hop, and single thread used in the 101 Stitch. We had to have a nod to our sewing roots with the name 101 Stitch. The 101 stitch is a single-thread chain stitch formed using just one sewing thread introduced by the sewing needle. Naturally, it was a perfect fit. Of course, this beer was brewed with only one type of malt and one type of hop, giving it a distinct and pure flavor profile and also reflecting the standard for a SMaSH brew. After trying the Sew Hop'd 101 Stitch American Pale Ale, I was blown away by the hoppy aroma and the citrusy taste. The beer has a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness, making it a refreshing and enjoyable drink. Sew Hop'd 101 Stitch is in the canning process and is set to hit the brewery floor soon!
